Revalidation is the process that allows nurses and midwives to maintain their registration with the NMC.
All Nurses and Midwives need to meet a range of requirements which are designed to assure employers, patients, the public and other healthcare professionals that you are fit to practice. All nurses and midwives should be able to demonstrate to a confirmer, with evidence, that all necessary requirements are met.
This process needs to be updated every 3 years, which means that you will need to apply for revalidation. At One Call 24, a range of support is offered to assist all agency nurses to help them fulfil their obligations. Simply call us on 03333 22 11 22 and ask to speak to our clinical nurse manager. For more information email us at info@onecall24.co.uk
It is each individual’s responsibility working in the healthcare industry, to complete the revalidation process themselves. This is not an evaluation on your fitness to care, nor is it a way to highlight fitness to practise concerns. It is not an assessment to oppose your current employer’s requirements.
