OneCall24 are proud to be working with an established charitable organisation who have multiple care homes. They provide a range of flexible, individualised care and support services for people with learning disabilities, mental health support needs and older people.
Their services include supported living, domiciliary care, housing and care (extra care) schemes, care homes, day services and respite/short breaks.
Within your new job you will be reporting to the Registered Home Manager, and provide direct nursing care to residents. You will ensure that good quality records, care plans and individual programme plans are completed, maintained and reviewed as and when required. And ensure that records are timely, accurate and relevant, in compliance with statutory requirements and NMC guidelines.
You will also monitor health care needs of the service user, ensuring dietary needs are met and choices offered; to report ill health and make requests for intervention by GP’s and other health care professionals where appropriate.
You will manage a staff team, promoting support and co-operation throughout all staff members.
Also, you will be ensuring that the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with company’s policies and procedures and CQC Fundamental Standards. You will need to work flexibly according to the demands of the service, this will include a flexible shift pattern consisting of early, late, weekend and bank holiday shifts.
Salary: From £27,644 (£14 per hour)
To be considered for this role:
For this job, you will need to be a Registered Nurse – first or second level.
You must also have previous experience of team leadership and working on own initiative and experience in caring for the elderly. As well as the ability to administer medication, demonstrate an understanding of the needs of older people, and the ability to prioritise tasks and manage a shift.
Ideally you will have experience of working in a residential or nursing home setting with proven first line management experience and the ability to undertake further management duties as directed by Head of Nursing, Lead Nurses or Senior Management Team.
